Sikorsky's S-70i International Black Hawk helicopter has been flown for
the first time in Poland, where the aircraft is being assembled by the
company's PZL Mielec subsidiary.
Flown on 14 November, the aircraft is the second International Black Hawk to have undergone final assembly in Mielec. The first was shipped to the USA and performed its debut sortie from West Palm Beach, Florida on 1 July, and is having unspecified mission equipment installed.

The programme's next two aircraft are now in final assembly in Poland, with a fifth to enter production in December and deliveries to start next year, says Sikorsky Military Systems. Launch operator for the type will be Saudi Arabia's ministry of internal affairs.
"The S-70i Black Hawk programme has been executed seamlessly," says Robert Mastronardi, the US company's S-70i senior programme manager.
